My Favourite Travel Tools and Services
Travelling and trip planning take a lot of time and energy. These are the tools and services that I use to save time and money.
Tours and Attractions
Klook – This is my go to website to book tours and buying SIM cards while traveling. They consistently have competitive prices and I’ve always been happy with their services.
Viator – Another website that I use to book tours. This is a great place to find cultural experiences and private tours.
Accommodation (Hotels & Hostel Booking Platforms)
Booking.com – This is a great place to book hotels and hostels! I book so frequently with them that I have reached Genius Level 3 status unlocking more discounts.
Always check the reviews before booking, I recommend a rating of 8.0 or higher. I also like to filter down the accommodation by price to find those budget friendly options as a solo traveller.
Agoda.com – Another great place to book accommodation. Agoda offers a lot of coupons and has cash back options through certain properties. I like to check Agoda to compare prices when looking for a place to stay.
Hostel World – This is a great platform for backpackers and budget travellers. As the name suggests, Hostel World is for those looking to stay exclusively as Hostels. It is very popular among the backpackers I met while travelling in Asia.
Flights
I’m constantly on the search for a flight deal so these are the websites that I use to book and find my flights.
Skyscanner – They compare all the available flights to find you the best deal. I love using the Explore option where you set your destination to “Everywhere” and “Flexible Dates”.
This allows you to find the best deals and to consider destinations you might not have considered before. I love that you can also set a destination with certain dates and get emails as the flight prices change.
Google Flights – Another great platform to compare flights to find the best deal. Feeling adventurous? Hit the “Explore” button to see the best flight deals from your city. You might just be inclined to visit someplace new.
